IPA now has a presence on two social media networks. You can 'follow us' on LinkedIn? or 'like us' on Facebook under the company name of Inter-City Personnel Associates.

Product Design & Product Development is the newest IPA Core Group. IPA currently has 16 varying industry & discipline related core groups. Many of our core groups hold monthly conference calls to share information on their top jobs and candidates.

Aerospace / Defense / Electronics is the newest IPA Core Group. This gives IPA a total of 15 varying industry & discipline related core groups. Members need to specialize in that specific niche a minimum of 25% to be eligible for core group membership.

Two IPA members shared a $46,750 fee for their November placement making it IPA's highest year-to-date placement fee for 2009.

Two IPA members recently reported a split placement fee of $36,250. This placement was in the works for a while but it was well worth the wait. This is the 2nd successful split placement reported between these 2 IPA members during 2009.

This is a great example of the kind of networking that makes IPA members successful!

Groups of IPA members met on Friday, September 11th, in Oak Brook, IL, and Charlotte, NC, for two different IPA Regional Meetings.

Members were able to personally meet and network with each other through introductions, panels and round table discussions.

IPA members met on Thursday & Friday, March 19-20th, in Savannah, GA, for IPA's annual National Convention.

Keynote Speaker Mike Lejeune, CTS, CPC, addressed the group sharing plenty of timely information. Attorney Lisa Yankowitz also provided pertinent information to attendees.

Members were able to personally meet and network with each other through introductions, panels and round table discussions. IPA also honored the 'Magnificent 7' - owners who joined IPA in the 1970s and are still members.

During IPA's annual Awards Banquet, tropies, plaques & medallions were presented to the top IPA counselors & agencies for 2008.

A group of IPA members met on Friday, November 14th, in Atlanta for our Southeastern Regional Meeting.

Speakers/trainers Mark Berger and Steve Finkel addressed the group sharing plenty of timely tips and strategies.

Members were also able to network with each other and exchange their hottest jobs and candidates to further their IPA working relationships.

Two IPA members recently reported a split placement fee of $23,000. The placing recruiter reported this was a local job for which he needed a local candidate; he has known the supplying recruiter for 11 years and that this type of candidate was his specialty. A local candidate was quickly provided, 2 interviews were held and the candidate was hired.

This is a great example of the kind of networking that makes IPA members successful!

Just this week I heard about a placement that has two IPA affiliates "happy!"

The placing agency had a job order in the Pittsburgh area so she sent it to a Pittsburgh affiliate... that affiliate within two hours had a couple of good candidates - after looking at the resumes, the IPA affiliate was confident she could get an interview and she did... and she kept the supplying affiliate informed EVERY STEP OF THE WAY... told him if she needed additional help, she would ask, otherwise she would just keep him informed which she did... and today it is a done deal and both IPAers are happy!

This is the way it should be... in this case it turned out to be a win-win. Sometimes interviews do not work out... but it is so important to communicate with your affiliate... ask for help when needed; keep the affiliate updated and after an interview, let them know the outcome... it will build a strong relationship between the two of you. Communicate!
